Mark, Our three days fishing with you was excellent. You did a fine job selecting three very different waters and put us onto plenty of fish. That was one of the most productive fly-fishing outing in recent memory. Thanks again. John Humphreys

when to come to Alberta

Spring fishing, in April and May on the Bow river, can be spectacular. With the warmer water temperatures the trout are feeding more intensely. The Bow River and Crowsnest River offer the Fly fisher some very good spring Dry fly action if the conditions are right. The trout for the most part will be taking nymphs and streamers. The rivers in southern Alberta round out into excellent shape right after spring runoff, which is usually the last week in June. Under the right conditions the dry fly action can be excellent all the way to the end of October but the most consistent way is with nymphs and streamers. The spring and fall are the most unpredictable weather wise but the trout are extremely aggressive and you could have the river to your self.
